Contrpoint

Contrpoint is an electronic music collective based in Clermont-Ferrand which aims to promote UK Garage, Breakbeat, House Music, Jungle and DnB through a variety of artistic initiatives. The collective produces events of all kinds, including DJ sets in bars, clubs and concert halls, monthly livestreams on Twitch and live concerts.

Its members include numerous DJs, electronic music producers, photographers, videographers, motion designers and managers. Contrpoint draws on its strengths to propose innovative, creative and unique projects that bring together and unite the Clermont-Ferrand public around the electronic music UK that is so dear to its members. The origins of Contrpoint lie in the desire to make British music resonate, to immerse ourselves in the frequencies of UK Garage, Groove, Breakbeat, House Music, not forgetting Jungle and Drum and Bass.

Today, Contrpoint is expanding and criss-crossing musical, photographic and digital universes. From DJ sets to livestreams on Twitch, Live and Selecta, the line-up preserves the ambition of infinite, human-sized parties with greater musical freedom. Contrpoint draws on its strengths to propose innovative, creative, inclusive and unique projects that bring Clermont-Ferrand audiences together.

Born and bred in the Boiler Room scene, its members strive to reproduce the warm, festive ambience of the British clubs they love from the early 80s to the present day.
