The liberated city Berlin gives you a slap in the face when it comes to intimate relationships, showing things not being different then the past when women had to take responsibility for the actions of men as well as theirs and bear the consequences all alone.

Fresh Film marks the conclusion of the “fresh painting” series, exposing the pitfalls of consumerism. Using photorealistic paintings of everyday foods, like fruits and vegetables, the film critiques the exaggerated nature of the art market. In a world driven by capitalism, the project highlights the irony of fulfilling basic needs. As society struggles with rising food prices and hunger, these harsh realities often hide behind polished images. “fresh film” utilizes these images to satirize and draw attention to the absurdity of our collective human experience.

Revolutions | Yann Chapotel | France | 2024 | 08’13
In a long panoramic view superimposing different temporalities of the same urban space, Revolutions shows individual trajectories that intersect and end up reuniting, coordinating and becoming one. The images were filmed between March and November 2023 in Nantes, a period of demonstrations against the French pension reform. The latter was adopted on March 16, 2023 without a vote in the National Assembly thanks to Article 49.3 of the constitution, a constitution put in place by General de Gaulle, whose statue stands on the square where Revolutions was filmed.
